Spanish for Children
Children learn best when they can interact with their peers. So, group classes for children is the way to go! It's a no-brainer! Classes are arranged by level and age groups, starting from 5 to 12 years old.
There are 3 classes for children:
- Chicos 1: for 5-7 year-olds
- Chicos 2: for 8-10 year-olds
- Chicos 3: for 11–12 year-olds
Classes run after school on weekdays and on Saturday mornings. There is a maximum number of 6 pupils per class.
Lessons are taught by experienced and qualified teachers who are either native or near-native speakers of Spanish. They enjoy teaching the language and seeing children learn in a fun and meaningful way.
Methodology
Our lessons are based on the Communicative Approach to language learning. The primary focus of all our lessons is on the pupil, and the ultimate aim is that our pupils can communicate and interact in the target language.
We use a variety of materials to ensure progression in structures, vocabulary and topics. All materials are carefully selected for pupils' level and age group.
Each class follows a textbook complemented with songs, videos, crafts activities, and many more. These ensure that children stay engaged and motivated in their learning.

¡Vamos al circo! and ¡Vamos al cole!
The ¡Vamos al circo! and ¡Vamos al cole! series is a Spanish method aimed at young children between 6 and 10 years old. They cover levels A1.1 and A1.2 and are designed to give the child a pleasant and early experience with the new language.
They come in notebook format, on which the child can work. Children can draw, sing songs and do physical activities, since at this stage it is important to stimulate the five senses and motor skills.
Both books are divided into 10 topics. ¡Vamos al circo! tells children an amusing story of two main characters living in a circus. In ¡Vamos al cole! the main characters live new experiences in 10 new environments: the house, the school, the city, the street, the park, the restaurant, the museum, the library, the sports centre and the party.
This method offers an entertaining and playful learning process as the most appropriate way to learn at an early age. The Audio CDs are great fun and a great companion to these books. Children can listen to the songs at home while still practising the language!
We start using ¡Vamos al circo! in Chicos 1 in order to introduce our 5-year-olds to reading and writing in Spanish. ¡Vamos al cole! offers a natural progression in the language.

Lola y Leo
The Lola y Leo series (1, 2 and 3) is designed for children between 7 and 11 years old, and offers a simple and fun method. It covers levels A1.1, A1.2 and A2.1 and establishes a solid foundation for those who want to take Spanish at GCSE.
Pupils learn about childhood topics in a progressive and playful way: they talk to their classmates, draw, sing, act, listen to real and natural audios. It consists of seven units, three intercultural sections called Descubrir el mundo (Discovering the world), and an appendix with cut-out material to make the activities more dynamic.
Each unit features two lessons called Con lupa (Under the magnifying glass), a lexical section and a grammar section. In addition, all units end with a final activity that is lots of fun! All the songs and videos in the book are also available as downloadable content
The accompanying glossy workbooks put into practice the contents of the Student's Book in a fun and effective way to keep learning and playing. There are grammar and vocabulary review games, and an appendix with cut-out material to make the activities more dynamic.
Lola and Leo incorporates a new concept of visual grammar so that students become familiar with grammatical content in an intuitive and natural way. We introduce the series at the age of 8, as a natural progression from ¡Vamos al circo! and ¡Vamos al cole!
